Deer Season

Deer can be dropped off during business hours and after hours throughout deer season.

No advance call is required. Follow the instructions below so your deer and tag are left in the correct place.

Check your deer and keep the number.

Deer must be checked through the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Record the confirmation number on the tag left with your deer, and review current AGFC season requirements before hunting.

How to Drop Off

Follow these steps for every deer. Drop-off is available while TNL is open and after hours. For after-hours drop-off, use the Over-Nite Deer Cooler on the far left side of our building.

  1. Prepare

    Prepare the deer.

    • Whole deer: The deer must be completely gutted.
    • Skinned and quartered deer: Keep the meat together so it can be placed in a half-barrel inside the cooler.

  2. Tag

    Complete and attach the tag.

    Write your name, contact information, and game-check confirmation number on a provided tag and attach it securely to the deer.

    If you want TNL to cape the deer for taxidermy, write CAPE FOR TAXIDERMY clearly on the tag.

    To have the head returned so you can do your own Euro mount or take it to someone else, write only EURO MOUNT on the tag.

    To have TNL do the Euro mount, write EURO BY D&K on the tag instead.

    For either Euro-mount option, attach the tag to the buck’s antlers. Always write your mounting request on the tag, even if you also discuss it with us in person or by phone.

  3. Cooler

    Place the deer inside the cooler.

    • Leave a whole, gutted deer and its completed tag inside the cooler.
    • Place skinned and quartered deer in a half-barrel inside the cooler, with the completed tag.

  4. Cutting order

    Give us your cutting order.

    View cutting order forms to review your options before drop-off.

    If you drop off during business hours: We prefer that you give your cutting order in the office when you drop off your deer. We will discuss your cuts, package sizes, and preferences with you.

    If you drop off after hours: Leave your contact information on the tag, then please call the next business day to give your cutting order.
